A highly anticipated and futuristic premium electric sedan, the Avatr 12, has recently been spotted on the streets of Kharkiv, Ukraine. The new vehicle has already managed to attract significant attention from automotive enthusiasts thanks to its unusual, bold design and powerful technical specifications. According to a recent report by Focus, this is one of the very first official units of the model to arrive in Ukraine, with photographs of the exclusive electric car provided directly by its owner.
The Avatr 12 represents a unique joint venture and strategic partnership between three global technological giants: the automotive manufacturing corporation Changan, the telecommunications and smart tech leader Huawei, and the world’s largest lithium-ion battery manufacturer, CATL. The Avatr brand officially entered the Ukrainian market in 2025 and currently offers several high-end models, positioning itself as a serious competitor to established European luxury electric vehicles.
In terms of exterior aesthetics, the Avatr 12 is a five-meter-long E-class gran coupe that features an incredibly aerodynamic and streamlined silhouette. It comes equipped with ultra-thin LED headlights and a retractable rear spoiler that highlights its sporty nature. However, one of the most distinctive design innovations of the Avatr 12 is the complete absence of a traditional rear window. Instead of glass, the manufacturer uses high-definition cameras that project a live feed to the digital rearview mirror. Traditional side mirrors have also been replaced by external cameras to enhance aerodynamic efficiency and reduce wind noise.
The interior of the vehicle is designed in a minimalist yet luxurious style, incorporating premium materials such as Nappa leather. The cabin features an unconventional flattened steering wheel, a massive narrow display spanning the entire width of the dashboard, and a central 15.6-inch touchscreen powered by Huawei’s HarmonyOS. Rear passengers are treated to their own individual monitors, ensuring maximum comfort during travel.
The top-tier Master version, starting at approximately 2.8 million UAH, comes heavily equipped. It includes a panoramic glass roof, dual-zone climate control, a 25-speaker Meridian audio system, a built-in dashcam, and Huawei’s ADS 2.0 semi-autonomous driving system. Additionally, all seats in the cabin are equipped with heating, ventilation, and multi-point massage functions.
Performance-wise, the Avatr 12 Master is an all-wheel-drive powerhouse. Its dual-motor setup generates an impressive 580 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. This allows the heavy luxury sedan to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in a staggering 3.9 seconds, reaching a top speed of 220 km/h. Supported by CATL’s advanced battery architecture, the car offers ultra-fast charging capabilities and a substantial driving range, proving that Ukraine’s transition to premium electric mobility continues at a steady pace despite ongoing economic and infrastructure challenges.
