Over the past 24 hours, the operational situation across the frontline remained extremely volatile, with Ukrainian forces recording 163 combat engagements against Russian invasion troops. Despite the relentless pressure, the Defense Forces of Ukraine continue to hold their ground, inflicting heavy damage on the enemy’s logistics and manpower. According to an official update published by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian combat aviation successfully struck seven areas where Russian military personnel and equipment were concentrated.
The northern and eastern sectors experienced sustained hostile activity. In the Siversko-Sloboda and Kursk operational directions, Russian forces launched four airstrikes utilizing six guided aerial bombs (KABs). Furthermore, the enemy carried out 83 artillery shellings targeting Ukrainian defensive positions and civilian settlements, including five barrages from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS). Meanwhile, in the Pivdenno-Sloboda direction, Russian infantry groups made six unsuccessful attempts to breach Ukrainian defensive lines in the vicinity of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipka, Starytsia, and towards Okhrimivka.
The situation in the eastern theater remains a primary focus of the Russian offensive strategy. In the Kupyansk sector, the enemy launched nine separate assaults near Pishchane, Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, and pushing towards Kivsharivka and Kupyansk. The Lyman direction saw six attempts by the adversary to wedge into Ukrainian defenses, specifically targeting the areas of Lyman, Dibrova, Novomykhailivka, and Tverdokhlibove.
The Donetsk region continues to be the epicenter of the fiercest fighting. On the Sloviansk axis, Ukrainian defenders firmly halted three localized advances towards Rai-Oleksandrivka, Yampil, and Ozerne. Similarly, two attacks were repelled near Nykyforivka in the Kramatorsk direction. The highest intensity of combat was recorded in the Kostyantynivka and Pokrovsk sectors. Russian forces conducted 28 assaults around Stepanivka, Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Ivanopillia. Concurrently, the Pokrovsk direction witnessed 33 massive storming operations as the aggressor desperately tried to advance near Ivanivka, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Pokrovsk, and adjacent villages. All attempts were decisively thwarted by Ukrainian defenders.
In the southern operational zones, the intensity of enemy maneuvers varied. The Oleksandrivka direction saw eight attacks, while the Hulyaipole sector recorded 18 enemy engagements around Zalizne, Varvarivka, and Dobropillia. Although no assault operations were documented on the Orikhiv front over the past day, the enemy carried out three targeted attacks near the Antonivsky Bridge in the Prydniprovya direction.
The cost of these widespread offensive actions has been exceptionally high for the Russian military command. Over the past day alone, Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,130 casualties. This brings the staggering total of Russian military personnel losses since the onset of the full-scale invasion to approximately 1,308,670, highlighting the severe attrition rate of Moscow’s ongoing campaign.
