The tragedy in Kryvyi Rih, where a missile struck civilian infrastructure, underscores the Kremlin’s complete disregard for human life and international law.
As of now, rescue operations are concluding in the city. While firefighters successfully extinguished the blaze, the human toll is devastating. President Zelensky expressed his deepest condolences to the families of the victims. Current reports confirm three deaths, with over 20 people injured, three of whom remain in critical condition. Medical teams are providing all necessary assistance to those affected.
President Zelensky emphasized that every such day proves that current countermeasures are not enough. He pointed out that any delay in delivering air defense systems (AD) or hesitation in supplying protection for Ukraine leads directly to the loss of civilian lives. Currently, Russia shows no genuine intent to end this war. Despite numerous diplomatic proposals from the Ukrainian side, the Kremlin continues to ignore paths toward peace. Consequently, increasing pressure on Russia is the only remaining mechanism to force a change in their aggressive behavior.
It is important to note that these targeted strikes against civilian centers occur alongside mass drone attacks. Since Monday evening, Russia launched 135 drones of various types across Ukraine.
