The ‘Dynasty’ Case: High Anti-Corruption Court Sets Bail for Suspects in 460M UAH Laundering Scheme

Засідання Вищого антикорупційного суду у справі про легалізацію 460 млн грн

The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has issued new pretrial restrictions for four individuals suspected of participating in a 460 million UAH money laundering scheme related to the ‘Dynasty’ construction project, according to the Anti-Corruption Action Centre. The investigation reveals that the scheme involved the construction of elite cottages in Kozyn, near Kyiv, and implicated high-profile figures, including former Office of the President head Andriy Yermak and former Deputy Prime Minister Oleksiy Chernyshov.

Investigators allege that the suspects utilized the ‘Sonyachny Bereh’ housing cooperative to facilitate illegal financial operations. Among the newly detailed bail requirements, Serhiy Syranchuk, director of the cooperative, faces a 20 million UAH bail, while Marina Medvedeva, who allegedly managed ‘shadow’ accounting for the operation, faces 15 million UAH. Formal founders of the cooperative, Liliya Lysenko and Hennadiy Opalchuk, have been ordered to pay 9.9 million UAH and 10.6 million UAH respectively. All suspects, if released on bail, are required to wear electronic monitoring devices.

This development follows the court’s earlier decision to remand Andriy Yermak in custody with a 140 million UAH alternative bail. He is currently being held in a pretrial detention center. The case has become a focal point of public scrutiny, with international observers, including EU ambassadors, warning that such high-stakes corruption trials can be exploited in hybrid warfare narratives to destabilize the nation’s political standing.

The ‘Dynasty’ case highlights the systemic issues within the Ukrainian real estate sector and the misuse of administrative influence for personal enrichment. As the judicial process continues, legal experts emphasize the critical nature of these proceedings in restoring institutional integrity. Amid ongoing national defense efforts, such as the strategic operations conducted by the Unmanned Systems Forces against Russian infrastructure, the government remains under immense pressure to prove that it can successfully prosecute corruption at the highest levels while maintaining the focus on national survival and victory.
