Tension in Transcarpathia: Attempted Assault on TCK Office in Mizhhiria

Будівля ТЦК під посиленою охороною після спроби прориву

A group of individuals recently attempted to forcefully enter the premises of the 2nd Department of the Khust District Territorial Recruitment Center (TCK) in the town of Mizhhiria, Transcarpathia. The Zakarpattya Regional TCK officially reported that the group ignored the lawful demands of the duty guard and tried to breach the territory of the military facility. Personnel on-site successfully neutralized the threat and repelled the assault. Law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the incident to provide a legal assessment of the attackers’ actions.

Local reports, including information provided by journalist Vitaliy Hlahola, suggest that the incident was sparked by the mobilization of a member of the local Roma community. This event marks a growing trend of confrontations near military enlistment offices. Such incidents are frequently exploited by hostile propaganda networks aiming to amplify domestic divisions and undermine Ukraine’s mobilization efforts.

This incident follows a series of violent attacks on TCK staff across Ukraine, including stabbings in Vinnytsia and Lviv, highlighting the escalating risk for military recruiters. In times of war, such acts are not merely criminal offenses; they are direct strikes against the state’s defense infrastructure. The military leadership emphasizes that these provocations, whether coordinated or spontaneous, serve the interests of the aggressor state, which seeks to destabilize the home front while the frontline remains the top priority.

Authorities have urged the public to rely exclusively on official information channels and to avoid participating in unlawful actions that could lead to severe criminal repercussions. As the investigation in Mizhhiria continues, the importance of maintaining public order and supporting the legal mobilization process remains critical for the national defense. The military facility remains under guard, and local law enforcement is working to identify all participants in the unauthorized intrusion attempt.
