Russian occupation forces have intensified their systematic terror campaigns against the civilian population of the Dnipropetrovsk region, utilizing an array of unmanned aerial vehicles and tactical aviation. Since yesterday evening, the enemy has launched over 20 attacks targeting two vulnerable districts in the oblast, deploying strike drones and guided aerial bombs. As reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, the relentless shelling resulted in at least one civilian death and left another injured.
The Nikopol district, which directly borders the occupied territories across the Dnipro River, bore the brunt of the hostile strikes. Russian troops focused their fire on Nikopol itself, as well as the Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovske, and Myrove communities. Multiple kamikaze drones and artillery shells severely damaged local residential buildings, critical infrastructure facilities, and agricultural fields. Tragically, a 59-year-old local resident was killed in his own yard during the bombardment, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of the Russian assault.
Simultaneously, the Synelnykove district was subjected to intense air raids, with the communities of Petropavlivka, Shakhtarske, Pokrovske, and Mykolaivka being targeted. This area serves as a critical logistic hub connecting the rear regions with the frontlines. The strikes damaged several private enterprises, commercial vehicles, and utility structures. A 35-year-old civilian man sustained injuries during the attacks. According to regional medical authorities, his injuries were classified as moderate, and he is currently undergoing outpatient treatment after receiving immediate medical attention.
These latest strikes represent a continuation of Russia’s deliberate strategy to destabilize Ukraine’s industrial heartland. By combining low-cost FPV drones with heavier guided aerial bombs, Russian forces are attempting to exploit gaps in regional air defense networks while causing maximum psychological and economic damage to local populations. Analysts point out that such constant pressure on the Dnipropetrovsk and neighboring Zaporizhzhia regions aims to disrupt logistics and exhaust the resources of local emergency services.
