The Grushovaya Balka facility is the largest oil storage depot in the Caucasus region, boasting an extraordinary storage capacity of approximately 1.2 million tons of petroleum products. This complex is not just a commercial asset; it serves as a vital artery for the storage, distribution, and transshipment of fuel destined for the Russian armed forces. Specifically, it supplies armored columns, logistical trucks, and the Russian Black Sea Fleet, which has increasingly relied on Novorossiysk as a safe haven after being forced out of occupied Sevastopol by Ukrainian long-range strikes.
