President Volodymyr Zelensky has confirmed a second successful strike on an oil refinery in Ufa, Russia, sharing the update via his official Facebook page. This operation marks another milestone for Ukraine’s long-range capabilities, as the facility lies more than 1,300 kilometers from the frontline.
The Ufa refinery, a significant producer of lubricants, is vital to Russia’s industrial output. By targeting such infrastructure, Ukraine aims to disrupt the logistical chain supporting the Russian war machine. In addition to the refinery strike, Ukrainian forces successfully engaged a strategic facility in the Penza region, which is involved in the manufacturing of components for the missiles frequently used by Moscow to strike Ukrainian civilian infrastructure.
