In a highly coordinated campaign, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have executed a series of devastating strikes against strategic targets inside the Russian Federation, severely disrupting the enemy’s military-industrial complex and supply chains. As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operations conducted on June 3-4 targeted critical infrastructure both in temporarily occupied territories and deep within Russian sovereign territory.
A primary success of this operation was the strike on the “Elastic” powder factory, a branch of Hefest-M LLC located in the Ryazan region. The attack triggered a massive blaze covering over 400 square meters, heavily damaging facilities responsible for supplying explosives to the Russian military. Additionally, Ukrainian forces confirmed a successful strike on the Michurinsky Plant “Progress” in the Tambov region. This industrial site is a critical facility specializing in the manufacturing of high-tech components for precision weaponry, meaning its disruption directly impacts Russia’s long-range strike capabilities.
Simultaneously, the newly formed Unmanned Systems Forces of Ukraine demonstrated exceptional maritime capabilities. The General Staff confirmed a successful hit on a Project 10410 “Svetlyak-class” border patrol vessel in the Sea of Azov. This operation was complemented by drone strikes in the Baltic region, which targeted the St. Petersburg oil terminal—destroying one reservoir and damaging six others alongside two technical ramps—and hit the missile corvette “Boykiy” in Kronshtadt. The geographical spread of these operations proves that no Russian maritime asset is safe.
On the occupied Ukrainian territories, precision strikes hammered Moscow’s immediate logistics. A major ammunition depot near Hryntal in the Donetsk region was hit, alongside vital fuel and lubricant depots in Simferopol and Melitopol. These depots are crucial for sustaining front-line operations. Ukrainian forces also targeted an enemy command post near Ocheretyne and a military hardware concentration area near Novoiehorivka in the Kharkiv region.
These systematic strikes signal a strategic shift toward asymmetric warfare, targeting the core of Russia’s war machine. By hitting defense plants, fuel infrastructure, and naval assets deep in the rear, Ukraine is effectively degrading Russia’s offensive capabilities while exposing significant vulnerabilities in its air defense networks.
