The Ukrainian Defense Forces have delivered another devastating and highly coordinated blow to key military and energy infrastructure deep within the Russian Federation and occupied territories. Using air-launched Storm Shadow cruise missiles, Ukrainian aviation successfully bypassed Russian air defense systems to strike high-value targets. According to the official report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operation targeted the Tuapse Oil Refinery, Russian air force automated intelligence systems, command posts, and drone assembly facilities.
The primary economic objective of the operation was the Tuapse Oil Refinery in Krasnodar Krai. Despite Russian propaganda claims of intercepted missiles, local footage confirmed massive fires and thick black smoke billowing from the facility. The refinery is a cornerstone of Russia’s southern military logistics, supplying fuel to the Black Sea Fleet and occupation forces in southern Ukraine. Systematically disabling such assets severely degrades Moscow’s ability to maintain high-intensity offensive operations.
Tactically, the most significant achievement was the neutralization of Russia’s air intelligence automation complexes. Storm Shadow missiles struck these highly specialized systems in Voronezh, Taganrog, and occupied Sevastopol. These software and hardware systems serve as critical command-and-control nodes for Russian aerospace forces. By neutralizing them, Ukraine has effectively blinded Russian aviation tracking in these sectors, creating significant gaps in their radar coverage.
Simultaneously, the Ukrainian military targeted frontline support infrastructure. In the occupied Luhansk region, precision strikes demolished Russian command posts in Tsvitni Pisky and Sorokyne, alongside a major logistics warehouse. Furthermore, Ukrainian forces eliminated a “Nebo-SV” radar station near Kamianka and a Buk-M2 surface-to-air missile system command vehicle near Kadiivka.
The operation also extended to Zaporizhzhia Oblast, where a Russian UAV production facility near Azovske was successfully targeted. Neutralizing drone manufacturing directly disrupts Moscow’s tactical reconnaissance and strike capabilities.
