Russian Terror in Dnipro: Casualties and Massive Destruction Across the Region

Наслідки російського ракетного удару по Дніпру

Russian forces have launched a massive series of attacks on the Dnipropetrovsk region, striking four districts more than 30 times. As reported by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, the aggressors utilized a combination of ballistic missiles, aerial bombs, heavy artillery, and drones to target civilian infrastructure. This deliberate campaign of violence has resulted in devastating human and material losses.

In the city of Dnipro, the strikes targeted local industrial facilities, leading to a tragic toll: four people were killed, and 19 others sustained injuries. Medical staff are working tirelessly to save the lives of four men—aged 23, 33, 44, and 52—who remain in critical condition, while 13 others are receiving care for moderate injuries. The scale of the destruction highlights the indiscriminate nature of Russia’s military strategy, which consistently prioritizes civilian harm over military objectives.

The impact of these attacks extended far beyond the city center. In the Nikopol district, the enemy targeted the district center along with the Marhanets, Pokrovsk, Chervonohryhorivka, and Tomakivka communities. The damage includes an administrative building, a hotel, numerous apartment blocks, private houses, and vehicles. Meanwhile, in the Synelnykove district, a strike on the Dubovykivka community damaged residential homes and utility buildings. The Kryvyi Rih district also reported significant damage to local infrastructure.

These strikes are part of a broader, persistent pattern of aggression that the Russian military maintains to destabilize the region and terrorize the population. By attacking energy hubs and residential areas, Moscow aims to create a sense of constant instability. Despite these efforts, local authorities and emergency services remain operational, focusing on search and rescue efforts and restoring essential services to the affected areas.

This latest escalation underscores the urgent need for enhanced air defense systems to protect urban centers from ballistic and drone threats. As the conflict continues, the resilience of the Dnipropetrovsk region remains under severe pressure, serving as a reminder of the brutal reality faced by Ukrainians living in the shadow of constant bombardment. The international community’s continued support is essential in countering these relentless attacks and holding the aggressors accountable for their war crimes against the people of Ukraine.
