On Sunday, May 17, Russian forces launched another aerial attack on civilian targets in the Kyiv region. According to Mayor Ihor Sapozhko’s statement on his official Telegram channel https://t.me/Igor_Sapozhko/15985, the debris from intercepted enemy UAVs, reportedly of the ‘Gerber’ type, fell in the Mekhanizatoriv lane area of Brovary.
Fortunately, there were no casualties or severe destruction reported. City authorities confirmed that while two residential houses sustained damage to their roofs, facades, and windows, the impact was contained. Additionally, the roof of a local industrial facility was slightly damaged. The successful neutralization of the threat is a testament to the efficiency of Ukraine’s air defense systems, which operate under extreme pressure during such mass attacks.
