Russian military forces launched a massive combined attack on Kyiv, utilizing a mix of ballistic missiles and strike drones, causing extensive damage across multiple districts. Official statements regarding the ongoing crisis were issued by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko and the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Timur Tkachenko. Residents reported hearing at least ten powerful explosions as the capital faced yet another night of terror.

The impact of the strikes resulted in significant destruction. In the Shevchenkivskyi district, debris struck a 24-story residential building, while a separate drone strike hit a 9-story apartment complex. The Solomianskyi district saw a direct hit on a 24-story residential high-rise, leading to a fire on the 20th floor, in addition to damage to nearby private homes. The Obolonskyi district also suffered, with a 16-story apartment building and residential property set ablaze by incoming drones.

Emergency services have been deployed across the city, as residential buildings, supermarkets, warehouses, and garage cooperatives were targeted. In the Desnianskyi district, commercial infrastructure was hit, resulting in large-scale fires. Emergency responders continue to work on site to extinguish blazes and assist victims, with at least five people confirmed injured so far. The scale of the destruction highlights the indiscriminate nature of these attacks, which prioritize civilian terror over tactical military objectives.

The threat level remains high as the Ukrainian Air Force continues to monitor potential ballistic threats. Prior warnings indicated a specific danger regarding intermediate-range ballistic missiles, adding to the psychological pressure on the capital’s inhabitants. Kyiv’s defense systems remain on high alert, working to intercept incoming projectiles, yet the frequent and sophisticated nature of these attacks continues to challenge civil security. Authorities urge all residents to remain in bomb shelters and exercise maximum caution during air raid warnings as the nation remains under constant threat from Russian aggression.
