The security situation in the Kherson region remains dire following a series of brutal Russian attacks, as reported by the Kherson Regional Military Administration. On Monday, May 11, Russian forces targeted densely populated areas of the city using unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), resulting in five civilian injuries, including a 14-year-old child.
The first strike occurred at approximately 10:00 AM in the Korabelnyi district, where a Russian drone dropped explosives on a local grocery store. Four civilians were wounded in the blast, including a 49-year-old woman and three men aged 51, 55, and 56. All victims were rushed to hospital suffering from blast injuries and multiple shrapnel wounds. Shortly after, at 10:40 AM, another strike in the same district targeted a local park, where a teenage boy sustained severe shrapnel wounds to his face and neck.
