On the 1572nd day of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, front-line intensity has reached a critical peak, with 229 combat engagements recorded over the past 24 hours. According to the official report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold active defensive positions against relentless enemy assaults across several operational axes, inflicting severe operational and material damage on the occupying forces.

The Pokrovsk and Huliaipole sectors remain the primary epicenters of hostile offensive operations. In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled 39 separate assaults, preventing the adversary from achieving a tactical breakthrough. Concurrently, the Huliaipole sector witnessed 32 Russian attacks, highlighting the Kremlin’s strategy of utilizing massive infantry rushes and overwhelming fire support to wear down Ukrainian defensive lines. Other sectors also faced heavy pressure, including Lyman with 17 attacks, and Sloviansk and Kostiantynivka with 14 attacks each. In the south, Ukrainian units successfully neutralized a hostile attempt to advance near the Antonivskyi Bridge in the Prydniprovskyi direction.

The high intensity of the clashes has resulted in extraordinary losses for the Russian occupation forces. Over the past day, the enemy lost approximately 1,440 personnel. Additionally, Ukrainian defense forces destroyed 5 tanks, 14 armored combat vehicles, and an impressive 57 artillery systems, severely degrading Russia’s fire capabilities. The list of neutralized equipment also includes one heavy thermobaric rocket launcher (TOS-1A “Solntsepyok”), 13 ground-based robotic complexes, and over 2,100 unmanned aerial vehicles of various modifications. At the same time, Ukrainian aviation and rocket forces struck 12 concentrations of enemy manpower and a drone control post.

This sustained level of attrition underscores the strategic challenges facing the Russian military command, which continues to prioritize localized territorial gains over the preservation of its own resources. While the front lines remain highly dynamic, the systematic destruction of Russian logistics and specialized military equipment limits Moscow’s capability to orchestrate a wider, decisive breakthrough before the seasonal weather shift.
