The Armed Forces of Ukraine continue to systematically dismantle the logistical chains, ammunition depots, and fuel supplies of the Russian occupying forces. As reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian defenders have launched a series of highly successful and precise strikes on critical enemy facilities, reaching targets both in the temporarily occupied territories and deep inside the Russian Federation.
According to the official statement, Ukrainian Defense Forces effectively neutralized several key logistical hubs. Among the most significant targets was a large ammunition depot near the settlement of Okhrimivka in the Zaporizhzhia region. Furthermore, Ukrainian military forces delivered a devastating blow to a strategic logistics hub near Novoazovsk in the Donetsk region. This particular node played a crucial role in supplying the Russian military grouping on the southern and eastern fronts. Additionally, a massive fuel and lubricants depot near Rovenky in the Luhansk region was destroyed, a move that will significantly complicate the refueling of enemy armored vehicles in that sector of the front line.
The Ukrainian command has also placed special emphasis on neutralizing enemy unmanned aerial systems. Firepower was directed at drone control points in the areas of Huliaipole and Novohryhorivka in the Zaporizhzhia region, as well as near Novopetrivka in the Donetsk region. Simultaneously, Ukrainian artillery and aviation targeted concentrations of enemy manpower. Enemy positions were struck near Novohryhorivka, Chasiv Yar, Velyka Novosilka, Perevalsk, and directly on the territory of the aggressor state—in the area of Krasnooktyabrskoye, located in Russia’s Kursk region.
Beyond front-line successes, the General Staff officially confirmed the results of an unprecedented attack on Russian oil refining infrastructure that took place on April 5. The strike targeted the powerful Lukoil-Nizhegorodnefteorgsintez oil refinery, located in the city of Kstovo, Nizhny Novgorod region, Russia. Thanks to the precise work of Ukrainian strike capabilities, the facility’s primary oil refining unit (AVT-2) and the diesel fuel hydrotreating unit (LCh-24-7) were completely disabled. The destruction of these critical components deals a severe economic blow to the Russian oil and gas industry and diminishes its capacity to supply fuel for the needs of the Russian army.
These operations highlight Ukraine’s growing capabilities in conducting long-range precision attacks. The reach of Ukrainian strike systems has significantly expanded, as evidenced by recent attacks on Russian drilling rigs in the Caspian Sea, located nearly 1,000 kilometers from the line of combat contact.
Moreover, this week, Ukrainian forces launched a daring attack on the enemy’s naval infrastructure in Novorossiysk. As a result of the strike, carried out by at least two drones, the Russian missile frigate Admiral Makarov was hit, and the port’s oil infrastructure sustained damage. These coordinated actions demonstrate the systematic approach of the Ukrainian Defense Forces to degrading the military and economic potential of the aggressor.
