Despite a declared ceasefire agreement, Russian occupation forces have blatantly ignored the terms, unleashing a massive wave of strikes against Ukrainian defensive lines and civilian areas. According to the evening briefing reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, 469 ceasefire violations were recorded in just a six-hour window on Saturday, April 11, between 16:00 and 22:00.
The operational update indicates that 101 combat engagements took place throughout the day. Following the supposed commencement of the “regime of silence,” the enemy launched 22 infantry assaults, conducted 153 artillery bombardments, and deployed 19 kamikaze drones (including Lancet and Molniya models), alongside 275 FPV drone strikes. The sheer volume of aerial bombardment remains staggering: over the course of the day, Russian forces carried out 57 airstrikes, dropped 182 guided aerial bombs (KABs), deployed nearly 4,000 kamikaze drones, and fired upon Ukrainian positions and settlements more than 2,400 times.
The most intense battles continue to rage in the eastern sectors. In the Kostiantynivka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces successfully repelled 19 enemy assaults near settlements including Pleshchiivka, Illinivka, and Ivanopillia. Meanwhile, the Pokrovsk direction saw 18 aggressive attack attempts as Russian troops tried to advance toward Myrnohrad, Udachne, and Novomykolaivka. These assaults resulted in severe losses for the attackers. Preliminary data confirms that Ukrainian troops eliminated 67 Russian soldiers and wounded 24 in this sector alone. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed a command post, multiple transport and specialized vehicles, and successfully downed or jammed 272 unmanned aerial vehicles of various types.
In the north, fighting persisted with Ukrainian defenders repelling multiple assaults. Three enemy attacks were thwarted in the Kupiansk sector near Petropavlivka, while six attempts to break through the lines were stopped in the Lyman direction. Further south, the Prydniprovske sector witnessed three unsuccessful Russian storming operations directed toward the Antonivskyi Bridge and Bilohrud Island.
Sectors such as Kramatorsk and Orikhiv saw a pause in direct infantry assaults, though they remained subjected to heavy Russian airstrikes targeting local infrastructure.
Addressing the nation in his evening video broadcast on April 11, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky highlighted the stark reality of the so-called “regime of silence,” emphasizing that Ukraine’s Armed Forces remain fully prepared to defend the country against continuous Russian aggression.
