Bloody Thursday in Dnipropetrovsk Region: Consequences of Massive Russian Attacks

On July 23, the Dnipropetrovsk region suffered nearly 40 Russian attacks, resulting in three fatalities and 32 injuries, according to an official statement by the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha (https://t.me/dnipropetrovskaODA/30976). Among those injured is a two-year-old child, highlighting the indiscriminate nature of these Russian strikes. The most significant tragedy occurred in Pavlohrad, where a missile strike on a food processing facility claimed three lives and left 29 people wounded. Currently, three victims are in critical condition, while 14 others, including the toddler, remain hospitalized with moderate injuries. Others received medical assistance on an outpatient basis. The attacks were not limited to Pavlohrad; the Nikopol district also faced heavy fire. In Nikopol, as well as the Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka, Pokrovsk, and Mirivske communities, the shelling damaged a fire station, several businesses, shops, multi-story residential buildings, and private vehicles. A 41-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were among the injured in these areas. Furthermore, in the Synelnykove district, a gas station and a private residence were damaged, and an additional person was injured in the Kryvyi Rih district after an attack hit a vehicle. This wave of violence is part of a broader strategy of terror deployed by the Russian Federation. On the same day, Russian forces also struck a high-rise residential building in Zaporizhzhia, leaving people trapped under the rubble. The frequency and intensity of these strikes across multiple regions over just a few hours underscore the urgent need for enhanced air defense systems to protect civilian lives. These attacks serve as a grim reminder that Russian aggression continues to target non-combatants and essential civilian infrastructure.
