According to the latest military reports, the Russian troop concentration in the Oleksandrivske sector alone has exceeded 71,000 personnel. A similarly sized grouping of approximately 71,000 soldiers has been concentrated in the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions. This brings the total Russian force projection on the southern front to over 142,000 troops. Such a massive buildup underscores the strategic importance of the southern land bridge for the Kremlin, which seeks to secure its logistics to occupied Crimea while potentially preparing for localized offensive operations towards Zaporizhzhia.
During his working visit to the front-line units in the Southern Operational Zone, General Syrskyi held crucial consultations with key field commanders, including Major General Oleh Apostol of the Air Assault Forces and Major Robert Brovdi, commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces. The discussion focused heavily on integrating unmanned technologies to counter the adversary’s numerical superiority. Syrskyi endorsed tactical initiatives put forward by local commanders to conduct proactive operations in specific sectors and authorized the immediate dispatch of additional technical equipment and ammunition to these units.
Kyiv’s current military strategy relies on offsetting Russia’s manpower advantage through precision strikes and technological innovation. Syrskyi emphasized that Ukraine is actively enhancing its capabilities to strike Russian forces at operational depth.
