On the evening of June 3, Russian military forces launched a devastating strike using the modern “Tornado-S” Multiple Launch Rocket System (MLRS) against the town of Chuhuiv in the Kharkiv region. According to the official telegram channel of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, the attack injured four individuals, including a 14-year-old girl. This strike underscores a continuing pattern of deliberate Russian targeting of civilian infrastructure in the Kharkiv region, utilizing advanced guided weapons that are ostensibly designed for high-value military targets.
The preliminary investigation indicates that Russia deployed the Tornado-S MLRS, a modern upgrade of the Soviet-era “Smerch” system.
