Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, has issued a stark warning to Belarus via his official Telegram channel. Brovdi revealed that Kyiv has formulated a comprehensive plan to launch retaliatory strikes against Belarusian territory should Minsk decide to actively join Russia’s war against Ukraine. According to the commander, Ukrainian military analysts have already identified and cataloged the first 500 high-priority strategic targets. This warning comes amid ongoing geopolitical maneuvering by Alexander Lukashenko and continuous attempts by the Kremlin to draw Belarus into direct military confrontation.
“A dog that barks doesn’t bite. A bird of prey is another matter. The first 500 targets are already noted. A free and very practical piece of advice: don’t look Ukraine in the eye,” Brovdi stated, sending a clear deterrent signal to Minsk. This proactive stance marks a significant shift in Ukraine’s defense doctrine. While Kyiv continues to fortify its northern borders, it is also telegraphing its readiness to launch devastating asymmetric strikes using its advanced drone fleet.
The Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces—the world’s first independent military branch dedicated entirely to drone warfare—have already demonstrated their capabilities deep inside Russian territory. Brovdi noted that Russia’s military-industrial complex and fuel-and-energy sectors have already felt the impact of “deep penetration” strikes. If Belarus crosses Ukraine’s red lines, its key economic and military assets, including oil refineries and airbases used by Russian forces, could face similar destruction.
Despite constant Russian pressure, Lukashenko has so far avoided direct involvement, fearing domestic instability and the collapse of his regime. Western military intelligence suggests that Russian forces are actively trying to persuade Belarusian leadership to engage in new offensive operations. In response, President Volodymyr Zelensky recently announced the reinforcement of Ukraine’s northern defenses, focusing on building extensive fortifications and increasing troop deployments. Brovdi’s warning underscores that Ukraine’s strategy relies not only on static defense but also on a credible threat of technological retaliation, making any potential northern offensive a highly costly gamble for Belarus.
