According to an official update from President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian forces conducted a successful operation against Russian military targets in the temporarily occupied Kherson region. A precise strike on an FSB headquarters in the village of Henicheska Hirka resulted in the neutralization of approximately one hundred enemy personnel.
The operation, carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) Alpha Group, also successfully destroyed a Pantsir-S1 air defense system. President Zelenskyy described these strikes as “medium and long-range sanctions,” emphasizing that the invaders must feel the consequences of their aggression until they withdraw. This strike is part of an ongoing strategy to degrade Russian command and control capabilities deep behind the front lines.
The loss of an FSB command hub is a significant tactical blow. For the Russian military, it complicates logistical coordination and forces their high-value assets further away from the front. Recent months have shown a clear pattern: Ukrainian intelligence and strike capabilities are effectively targeting the “brains” of the Russian occupation, making any presence in the occupied territories increasingly untenable.
