The operational situation across the Ukrainian front lines remains exceptionally volatile and highly intense. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defense forces recorded 173 combat engagements with Russian occupation troops across 12 primary strategic directions. This comprehensive update was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in its morning briefing.
Russian forces continue to heavily rely on a scorched-earth strategy, utilizing devastating aerial bombardments and massive swarms of unmanned aerial vehicles. According to official military data, the enemy launched 73 airstrikes within a single day, dropping 230 guided aerial bombs (KABs) on Ukrainian defensive positions and civilian settlements. Furthermore, the Russian military deployed an unprecedented 8,162 kamikaze drones and conducted 3,188 artillery shelling attacks, including 109 barrages from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS).
In response to the relentless assaults, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces executed precision strikes against three concentrations of Russian military personnel and equipment. Ukrainian forces also successfully neutralized two enemy UAV command and control centers, degrading the occupiers’ ability to coordinate further drone strikes.
Fiercest Battles Across the Frontline
The eastern front continues to be the epicenter of hostilities. In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders bravely repelled 26 massive assaults as Russian troops attempted to break through near settlements including Bilytske, Rodynske, Myrnohrad, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Ivanivka, Molodetske, Pokrovsk, Shevchenko, Hryshyne, Filiia, and Novoserhiivka. In the Kostyantynivka sector, the enemy launched 19 attacks targeting the areas of Kostyantynivka, Pleshchiivka, Kleban-Byk, Stepanivka, Ivanopillia, and Sofiivka.
Intense fighting is also surging in the southern and eastern operational zones. In the Hulyaipole direction, Russian forces initiated 16 offensives near Dobropillia, Varvarivka, Bilohiria, Huliaipilske, Staroukrainka, Charivne, Zaliznychne, and Svyatopetrivka. Meanwhile, in the Prydniprovske direction, Ukrainian units firmly halted four assaults near the Antonivskyi bridge.
In the northern and northeastern sectors, the Russian military maintained high pressure. In the North-Slobidske and Kursk directions, 12 combat engagements took place near Prokhody and towards Mala Rybytsia. In the South-Slobidske direction, the enemy stormed Ukrainian positions 12 times around Vovchansk, Kolodiazne, Starytsa, Zelene, Vovchanski Khutory, Prylipka, Lyman, and Hrafske. In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian warriors successfully thwarted 10 attempts by the invaders to advance near Dibrova, Nadiia, Zarichne, Olhivka, Stepove, Druzheliubivka, and Cherneshchyna.
Additionally, three attacks were repelled in the Kupyansk sector, three in the Slovyansk sector, and five assaults were recorded in the Oleksandrivka direction. One minor attempt to advance was stopped in the Orikhiv sector.
The cost of these relentless “meat assaults” remains staggering for the Russian Federation. In just 24 hours, Russia suffered over 1,400 casualties, including both killed and wounded personnel. According to current estimates, total Russian military casualties since the escalation of the conflict are now approaching an astonishing 1.4 million.
