Since the beginning of the day, Russian occupation forces have launched 70 assault attempts against Ukrainian Defense Forces positions, focusing their primary efforts on the Pokrovsk and Sloviansk directions. This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The intensity of hostilities remains critical, with the frontline experiencing unrelenting pressure from invading forces.
The current situation is characterized by constant artillery shelling along the border and active attempts by the occupiers to breach Ukrainian defenses. The Pokrovsk direction remains the most volatile, with 22 recorded enemy attacks. The invaders are attempting to displace our units in areas such as Toretsk, Sofiivka, and Belytske. A similarly difficult situation persists on the Sloviansk front, where 20 combat engagements occurred. The enemy continues to sacrifice personnel in failed attempts to advance near Kryva Luka and Zakitne.
Despite the aggressive enemy pressure, Ukrainian defenders continue to demonstrate exceptional resilience. Each meter of land is being defended at a high cost to the invaders. While the enemy exhausts its resources on unsuccessful frontal assaults, the Ukrainian army is successfully integrating advanced technology to counter aggression. Our soldiers are holding their positions with iron determination, utilizing every available asset to minimize enemy gains.
On the Kostiantynivka front, Ukrainian troops successfully repelled 8 enemy attacks near Ivanopillia. Simultaneously, 9 attacks were recorded on the Huliaipole axis. The occupiers have also persisted in their efforts to push forward on the Lyman direction, where 6 assault attempts were registered. Meanwhile, the border areas in the Sumy region remain unstable due to constant strikes on civilian infrastructure in villages like Bachivsk and Pustohorod.
Military analysts note that the enemy continues its ‘scorched earth’ tactic, seeking to shift the frontline configuration before the winter season at any cost. However, successes by Ukrainian troops in other sectors prove the efficacy of our defense strategy. The recent capture of 64 Russian soldiers in a single engagement in the Zaporizhzhia region serves as a clear indicator of the demoralization among enemy ranks. The Armed Forces of Ukraine remain committed to holding their lines, inflicting maximum losses on the occupier, and preparing for the eventual liberation of all occupied territories.
