On July 14, Russian forces launched a series of brutal strikes on the Kharkiv region, resulting in civilian casualties and significant destruction. According to the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, the village of Slatyne was targeted by Russian guided aerial bombs (KABs). The strike hit private households, killing one woman and leaving four people injured. Rescue teams are currently working at the site, searching for at least one more person potentially trapped under the debris. At least eight residential houses were destroyed in the attack.
Simultaneously, the enemy targeted the Shevchenkivskyi district of Kharkiv city. While there were no immediate reports of casualties from this specific strike, the persistent bombardment of the regional capital underscores the constant threat facing its residents. This escalation follows a massive overnight attack on the region, during which Russia deployed 135 drones and 10 missiles, including ballistic weaponry. As a result of these overnight strikes, 11 people, including a child, were injured across the city and 12 other settlements in the region.
The terror extends beyond the Kharkiv area. Today, a Russian FPV drone also hit a civilian vehicle in the village of Tavriyske in the Zaporizhzhia district, killing one woman and injuring a man. These recurring incidents demonstrate a clear pattern: Russian military strategy remains focused on the systematic destruction of Ukrainian civilian life. Despite the overwhelming evidence of war crimes, the intensity of these strikes shows no signs of abating. International observers emphasize that such relentless aggression against non-combatants requires a unified and strengthened response to hold the aggressor accountable for every life lost.
