Since the beginning of the day, Russian occupation forces have carried out 88 assault attempts against Ukrainian positions. According to the official report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine issued on Tuesday, July 7, the Pokrovsk sector remains the most intense area of operations, accounting for one-third of all enemy assaults.
The frontline remains volatile. In the Pokrovsk sector, invaders attempted 29 times to breach Ukrainian defenses near settlements such as Ivanivka, Dorozhne, Hryshyne, and Udachne. Despite the relentless pressure and constant infantry pushes, Ukrainian Defense Forces are holding the line, with active engagements still ongoing in several locations.
Heightened combat activity was also recorded in other sectors. In the Sloviansk direction, the enemy launched 16 assaults, while the Huliapole sector faced 15 attacks as the adversary attempts to penetrate deeper into Ukrainian-held territory. The Kostiantynivka sector saw nine defensive actions carried out by Ukrainian troops, underscoring the high intensity of current hostilities across the front.
Ukrainian forces continue to respond with both defensive resilience and asymmetric strikes aimed at the Russian military-industrial complex. Recent successful operations include precision strikes on military manufacturing plants in the Bryansk region and critical infrastructure in Crimea. Notably, a major oil refinery in Omsk was targeted, directly impacting the enemy’s fuel supply chain. These operations are part of a broader strategy to systematically degrade the Russian war effort and disrupt the supply lines supporting their active combat operations.
While combat remains fierce in the east and south, no offensive actions were reported in the Northern Slobozhansky, Kursk, or Kramatorsk sectors today. The Ukrainian military command continues to monitor the situation, reallocating reserves to address the most critical threats. The primary objective for the Defense Forces remains the exhaustion of enemy assets and the protection of personnel while managing the challenging pace of this defensive campaign. As the war continues, the capability to strike deep behind enemy lines remains a key component of Ukraine’s asymmetric warfare strategy.
