Over the past month, the Unmanned Systems Forces (USF) of Ukraine have achieved significant success, disabling over 30 Russian air defense elements in occupied territories, as reported by the USF press service. This strategic campaign aims to deplete enemy assets and secure dominance in the airspace.
Since the beginning of 2026, USF operators have hit 194 air defense components, bringing the total since the unit’s establishment in June 2025 to 276. This inventory of destroyed hardware includes 169 surface-to-air missile systems, 76 radar stations, and 31 electronic warfare complexes. Furthermore, 426 mobile radars and over 3,800 mobile EW units—vital for protecting enemy logistics—have been neutralized.
The intensity of these operations peaked between June 27 and June 29. Operators from the 1st Separate Center, working in occupied Crimea, successfully struck “Pantsir-S1” systems and advanced “Podlet” radars. Meanwhile, the Nemesis brigade targeted fuel depots and tankers in the Zaporizhzhia region, effectively strangling the enemy’s logistics chain. Additionally, the “Raid” regiment hit a locomotive inside the Bryansk region of Russia, disrupting military supply routes.
These precision strikes are part of a broader, technology-driven approach to asymmetric warfare. By systematically dismantling Russia’s defensive umbrella, Ukrainian forces are creating new opportunities for deeper operations. The effectiveness of these drone units underscores the importance of continued international support and joint production initiatives. As Ukraine continues to innovate on the technological front, the systematic attrition of Russian military infrastructure—from air defense radars to frontline logistics—remains the key factor in eroding the adversary’s long-term combat capabilities and bringing the country closer to liberation.
