On June 21-22, the Armed Forces of Ukraine executed a series of high-precision strikes against critical Russian military assets. According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the operations successfully hit strategic targets deep within Russian territory and across occupied regions, marking a significant escalation in Ukraine’s capacity to disrupt the Russian war machine.
The targets included the “Dubna” space communication center in the Moscow region, which suffered extensive damage, as well as critical logistical infrastructure at the Port of Kavkaz in the Krasnodar region. Two automotive ferries used for the transshipment of military equipment to southern Ukraine were put out of commission. By targeting these assets, Ukraine is effectively strangling the supply lines that keep the Russian occupation forces operational in the southern sectors of the front.
Furthermore, Ukrainian forces neutralized several command and control centers, including drone operator training facilities near Debaltseve and command posts in the Belgorod region of Russia and the Donetsk region. The systematic destruction of these nodes forces the Russian military to constantly relocate its command and logistical hubs, creating chaos and communication gaps within their ranks. A crucial strike on an automotive bridge near Vasylivka, Zaporizhzhia region, further hampers the Russian military’s maneuverability, hindering their ability to reinforce or retreat efficiently.
These strikes follow a series of recent long-range operations, including the hitting of the Antipinsky Oil Refinery located over 2,000 kilometers from the Ukrainian border. These successful missions underscore that Russia’s vast territory is no longer a safe haven. As Ukraine continues to refine its domestic drone production and precision targeting, the ability to project force deep into Russian territory becomes an essential component of the ongoing defense. While Russia persists in its attempts to terrorize Ukrainian cities, the consistent degradation of its logistical capabilities remains a priority for the Ukrainian military. The strategic focus remains clear: to strip the enemy of their technological advantages and logistical backbone, ultimately eroding their capability to sustain a prolonged invasion.
